Currently our team is working on remastering the Element of Power game, including graphics, plot, gameplay, and overall content. At this moment in time it is unknown exactly when this new game will be ready, but with minimal technical difficulties, this project should not take long. We hope this game will be a good one, and we plan on putting every bit of effort into it. Once again, thank you for sticking with us.
“Anabelle!” sounded a voice, echoing off the trees in a flooded wood. The thunder sounded over the cry, as if challenging it to sound off again. The cry rebutted and rang out once more, but this time was different. The previous time held a voice of leadership, a voice of assurance, a voice without worry. The second reflected quite the opposite. It stuttered and shivered like the man using it. It held despair in it, but above all, it was the voice of fear.
“ANABELLE!!! ANABELLE PLEASE SAY SOMETHING!! COME BACK! I’M SORRY!!” said the a young man, hands cupped over his wide mouth.
He shuttered in the cold and scratched the scruff of his chin, contemplating his next move. His mind was a flurry of grotesque images and dark thoughts as it wandered to the worst outcomes in his situations. He shook his head, partly to separate himself from these sadistic themes, partly to keep his baggy eyes from pulling him into a sleep. He grasped his side. A sharp pain, one that gave inklings of becoming much worst. Fatal? Not yet….
The man left his spot, staggering through the wind and rain, searching for the one he referred to as Anabelle. He slid down a muddy slope, adding grit to grime as the brown flurry of moist dirt soaked through his cotton pants. He was far too num in the legs to keep moving.
…..he did anyways….he had to…..
He stumbled through the thick brush, his view obstructed by the pines around him, stray needles scratching him as he carelessly threw himself through the woods. He stopped suddenly, his instincts ringing out above his fatigue. He looked down. A torrent of water flowed beneath him. He was about to stumble straight into it. He saw something as he stared into the violent stream. His eyes followed something in the water. He analyzed it, making out something organic. Finally, to leave his curiosity at rest, the organic blob stratched out on the other side of the river, and slowly became the shape of a dog.
“Rusty. RUSTY! RUSTY!? RUSTY HOW’D YOU MAKE IT? Rusty?... Rusty wheres….Wheres Anabelle?”
…Rusty slumped into a ball and closed his eyes...
…he breathed in and out slowly…
…his job was over…
The man looked once again to the water. His gaze started as one of an investigator, but as time dragged forward, his professional gaze turned to frantic glaring, until eventually his eyes were connected to his cheeks by streams of tears. He fell to his knees as his eye caughtsomething flowing through the water. A lone, torn life preserver floated thorugh the rapids. He fished it out quickly, inhaling gallons of water as he reached for it. He wiped away grim from the top of it to reveal something that shattered a broken man….
“For the adventurer in all of us”
“we have this”
He would’ve screamed, truly he would’ve, but the pain in his side increased, leving his aile of unconscious tatters in the ground.
…leaving him broken….
…….leaving him hopless……
………leaving him hurt…….
……leaving him alone…..
Leaving him in solitude…
The end….the beginning….
Despite the complications, LCNgaming is still capable of making progress on old and new games. Currently, four possible games are in development, and with the use of Google and the other uses of the internet, the three of us are able to communicate and piece everything together. More news about the games will be introduced once they are further into development. All we can say now is that they are going to be some kickass games, and hopefully will come out the way we want them to. Stay loyal and bare with us!
To all who still follow us at this point: I am happy to announce that after a few weeks of totally being stagnant, LCN Gaming is now up and running again and will be more productive. Due to our short staff, however, we are slightly hindered. Our staff will manage though and we will continue to bring more updates in the days to come on our high quality games! -Kyle
To the right you see a finished WoF card (kind of inside joke) ;D
I assure you, Kiefer's absence will not hinder our productivity. While he is away in Germany, we will be busy working on our own projects, but Element of Power will have to wait. - <3 Kyle
The in-development game, Stand is making headway on becoming a playable game. A solid engine is currently being developed to make a working side-scroller, and it's coming along quite nicely. Technical difficulties and unfamiliarity with the programming software are slowing the process considerably, but I like to think of it as a learning experience, and once I understand the software language, I'll be able to make progress much more quickly and regularly. Right now, the biggest obstacle is creating the game's engine itself, so that more complicated game mechanics may be built on top of it.
Another big problem is that the lead developer on the game (Kiefer Nemeth) will be leaving the country for four and a half weeks this coming Thursday, and due to inadequacies with the computers of our other two developers, neither one of them can open the program successfully to make any progress on it. So hopefully, we will come up with some way of fixing one of these problems and avoid inactivity in our game-making.
War of Faith is a card game and board game hybrid. This card game is based heavily on Magic the Gathering and the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) in many respects and fans of both those games will appreciate it. You assume the role of an all powerful god ruling over a small island of people. Your main goal is to gain Faith Points from your population of followers by sending certain prophets to the land to spread your good word, or grant certain miracles that raise happiness. On the other hand, you can grant powerful spells called smites that hinder your rivals' productivity. There are other ways to win, but they are more complicated.
By being set up as a hybrid of both a board game and card game, this game will bring a unique and fun experience to the table. It will include hexagonal tiles like the ones on the left that will represent a certain region or territory of influence. Each will be a different biome like forest and mountain and each represent different cultures . There will be a unique art direction for each. The more tiles you control, the easier it will be to gain influence from your followers. Each region will have stats like population count for basic generation of Faith, Alignment (good or evil) to indicate what type of prophets can be played, and culture which will give a basic idea of how well off your people are. Most of your prophets, smites, and miracles will focus on regulating these stats. The most difficult potion, until we figure out a more efficient method, is keeping track of all of these things with tokens. Also, there will be a method of bending people to your godly will by sending them into battle in the name of your glory. However, this aspect of the game is not as polished as it could be, so I will talk about that later. Right now it includes the use of military "general" cards to recruit powerful armies.
The actual cards that you play with will be similar to what you see below. The types are divided into smites, prophets, and miracles. Each have their own cost to use. In other words, Prophets have Alignment, and smites\miracles will require spending some Faith Points. Feedback is always accepted <3 Kyle :D
Saying that Stand is a "new" game is a bit misleading. This title was originally created several months ago, but never manifested itself into a game based mainly on problems within the game's code. However, we are on track to fixing those problems and will be working on producing a demo for the game as soon as we can.
Stand is a sidescrolling platformer with fighting styles similar to that of Megaman. It starts out with a somewhat dark story, and leads to a revenge-driven journey across foreign lands in order to become strong enough to defeat the force that has caused so much pain in your life and many others. Be ready to join this ambitious dwarf on his quest to stop the unstoppable and stand for what he knows is right.
Here are some screenshots from early development:
An already created board game, Capture Quest, is being debated on whether or not it becomes an LCNgaming game. I myself am one of the original creators of the game, and I will ask for consent of the other three on allowing it to become licensed by us.
Here is the trailer for the board game. Keep in mind that it doesn't actually show any of the gameplay It's just for fun and entertainment.
